The 20th Intercoiffure World Congress had some nice surprises for the participants
to the second theme party held at the Sugarloaf.
Under the name “African Evening”, the party brought the African influence
into the Brazilian culture and created unforgettable moments of fraternization
and networking among the 800 hairstylists who flew in from 36 countries.

Having the Sugarloaf as a scenario, the party was able to recreate the Brazilian
miscegenation and its cultural riches. The evening was topped off with a special
show of the Escola de Samba Unidos de Padre Miguel, from Rio de Janeiro.
Intercoiffure Juniors create futuristic concepts
Another highlight of the evening was the performance of the Juniors of Intercoiffure,
who are regarded as the future of the Association. The 23 members, among which
5 Brazilians, were introduced by Mario Tricoci, from the Fondation Guillaume,
Otto Sommer and Noriko Tsubouchi.
The show, which had the participation of a dance group, emphasized on art, fashion
and haircut, color and hairstyles trends for 2009, aside from showing the talent
of the hairstylists of the Fondation Guillaume present around the world and celebrating
its 25th anniversary.
