A fantastic and sophisticated Gala Dinner for around 800 hairstylists from 36
countries marked the closure of the 20th Intercoiffure World Congress, in the
city of Rio de Janeiro.
Served in a scenario recalling Colonial Brazil, the Gala Dinner had a decoration
evoking European cultural manifestations brought to Brazil, with panels of reproductions
by Jean Baptiste Debret. The party was in homage of the commemorations of the
200 years of the arrival of the Portuguese Royal Family to Brazil.
This superb moment of fraternization amidst the delegations of the several
countries the dinner brought the rhythm of Brazil with a special show of Bahian
singer Margareth Menezes, who transmitted the beat of her music to the guests
of the 36 countries.
For
Waleska and Francisco Santos, the couple president of the 20th Intercoiffure World
Congress, the evening celebrated the glamour of the congress and showed some of
the history of Brazil. Said Francisco Santos “We want this to be an unforgettable
evening for all our friends that came from more than 30 countries. We hope they
will be able to take a little of the joie-de-vivre and of the beauty of Brazil
back to their own countries”.
Klaus
Peter Ochs, president of Intercoiffure Mondial, stressed the importance of this
Congress and thanked the dedication of Waleska and Francisco Santos, who during
four years worked to make of this event a big success. “Here we had a great
meeting among friends, an unforgettable moment of fraternization and friendship.
I am convinced that this congress will remain forever in our memories. Here we
had the best shows in a paradisiacal scenario”.
For
Janine and Jacques Goossens, president of Intercoiffure Brazil, the Congress was
the accomplishment of a dream. “When we started this work over four years
ago, we had a dream of hosting you, all friends of around the world. Now everything
has come true and I sincerely hope that each and everyone of you takes back home
the souvenir of a huge present which is our friendship, joy and happiness”
said Janine.
