The 20th Intercoiffure World Congress, to be held in the city of Rio de Janeiro, from May 18th to 20th 2008, will feature in its program, 11 trends shows by hairstylists of several countries, complemented by four gala presentations, with special emphasis in the staging of Klaus Peter Ochs, president of Intercoiffure

The program of the Prestige Shows of the World of the ICD Rio 2008 was released last week by Intercoiffure Mondial. The 11 shows scheduled for May 19th and 20th will be staged by the delegations from France, Japan, Germany, Russia, Austria, Chile, Brazil, Oceania, Nordic Countries and Intercoiffure Mondial, to show the interpretations of professionals of those different regions on the major trends of hairstyles.
Still on that same May 20th the grand finale of the style performances will be the Gala Show, with four special topics on haircut, color and hairstyles, staged by the teams from Japan, Italy and Brazil and as the closing session, a demonstration of hairstylist Klaus Peter Ochs, president of Intercoiffure Mondial.

The announcement of the list of countries that will stage increased even further the interest for the event. Over 800 professionals, flying in from 50 different countries are expected in Rio de Janeiro, to participate in the 20th Intercoiffure World Congress. Hotel Intercontinental-Rio, venue of the ICD Rio 2008 event is already fully booked with confirmed reservations and now participants will be directed to close-by hotels that have been selected by the organizers.
The World Congress takes place every four years, always in different countries and it is the most important get together for professional updating and networking organized by Intercoiffure Mondial. In Brazil, a country where the beauty care sector is booming the Congress will be held jointly between Intercoiffure Mondial, Intercoiffure Brazil and Hair Brasil –-International Beauty, Hair and Esthetics Fair.
