The city of Luxemburg hosted last April the Intercoiffure
Central Europe Congress, an event that brought together over 500 hairstylists
from the region countries. Several conferences and a megashow formatted the program
of the Congress, highlighting issues such as ethics and professional respect.
The directors of the Brazilian fair Hair Brasil, Waleska and Francisco Santos,
participated in the Congress as guests of Klaus Peter Ochs, President of Intercoiffure
Mondial. They took advantage of the opportunity to meet with members of the Central
Committee of Intercoiffure and present the work plans and the promotion already
en route, aiming at holding the 20th Intercoiffure World Congress (ICD Rio 2008),
in May 2008, in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
Francisco Santos, President of the ICD Rio 2008, said that several countries
confirmed the presence of large groups to the Congress in Brazil, mainly Germany,
The Netherlands, Austria, Poland, France and Italy, as well as the United States
and Japan.
The meeting was also the right opportunity to define the program of the Rio
de Janeiro event. The meetings and pre-congresses will be held from May 15th to
17th, 2008 and the big shows will be staged from May 18th to 20th 2008.
The final program, with the order of the countries that will perform the “Prestige
Shows of the World” will be defined next September, during the Mondial Performance
that Intercoiffure holds in Paris.
Rio 2008
The 2008 Congress in Rio de Janeiro forecasts to host 1,000 participants. The
event continues to be intensely promoted amongst the members of Intercoiffure
in 51 countries and a series of special actions are programmed in September, during
the Mondial Performance, in Paris and also in New York, in October, during the
Congress of Intercoiffure USA.
