Dear Members & Friends of Intercoiffure,
A very warm welcome to the 20th Intercoiffure World Congress in the wonderful
city of Rio de Janeiro!
Your presence means a lot to me and to our elite organization! So I want to thank
you all for being here today to celebrate the high-class hair fashion shows, expertise
and friendship altogether.
I also want to express my sincere gratitude to Francisco Dos Santos, President
of the 20th World Congress Intercoiffure and President of Hair Brasil - and to
his wife Waleska, Vice-President of this ICD Congress and of Hair Brasil - for
organizing such a great event with their teams. I am very pleased and proud of
the collaboration Intercoiffure and Hair Brasil have been engaging together and
I am looking forward to its further developments.
I would also like to thank Jacques Goossens, President of Intercoiffure Brazil
and his charming wife Janine for their precious support in the organization of
our event.
Thank you very much my Brazilian friends!
We prepared for you an unmatchable congress and I hope you will have a very good
time with us all along these 3 franetic days devoted to hair, fashion and beauty!
Look, listen, exchange, ask and enjoy yourself. This event has been intended
to please your eyes, ears and palate in addition to your brain and your heart.

We are honored and thankful for the opportunity offered by Intercoiffure
Mondial to welcome in our country colleagues, professionals and businesspeople
from the whole world beauty sector.
In great joy we offer to each congressperson our hearts full of friendship, and
we wish you to fully enjoy every moment of this great party. We are deeply touched

These meetings are very important to all of us because they reflect our activity’s
dimension, nuances and development. Intercoiffure has increased a lot in the whole

I am personally proud and honoured to open the 20th Intercoiffure World Congress
in Rio de Janeiro, since in the last years we have been deeply involved in promoting
the concept of this important entity in Brazil and Latin America.
It is a pleasure to receive in this wonderful city so many professionals from
more than 50 countries and show a small part of Brazil that is every day growing,
becoming modern and attaining a prominent position in the international scene.
At each new meeting we become more enthusiastic about Intercoiffure and its important
role in integrating beauty professionals throughout the world. We believe in and
share the Intercoiffure struggle in promoting human relations in a sector in which
sensibility is one of the most nurtured values.
As members and sponsors of Intercoiffure Brazil, it is a privilege to preside
such important congress.
We hope ICD Rio 2008 to be a great success! And may it be remembered as an unforgettable
moment to all who replied to our invitation and along these three days will turn
